How much will shipping cost/when will my order ship?
All shipping to the US is FREE when you order $75+ of product.
Otherwise, you pay a low flat rate of $6.99 per order.
All goods ship from our factory in Bali and take 5-10 days to arrive.

Why is my signature required to accept shipments from Wooden Ships?
We ship internationally directly to you from our knitting factory in Bali. Fedex requires signatures for delivery of international shipments.
If you know at the time of ordering, that you want your order be left at your ship to address with no signature, please add a note at checkout that No Signature is Required. However, we will not be responsible for any missing packages.
Why don't you ship to Canada?
We would love to ship to Canada, but Fedex does not currently offer a program that allows us to feasibly ship a few sweaters at a time.
How do I wash my new item?
We recommend that you wash your knitwear very rarely because all knits will naturally wear from friction.
If you do feel you need to wash your knitwear, it is best to wash it alone. Use cold water only. Choose your machine's Gentle or Delicate Cycle. After washing, lay your knit flat to dry and reshape it.
We do not recommend hand washing or washing with other items, both of which cause extra friction.
We only recommend washing with Woolite brand soap. For most of our knits, we recommend Woolite Gentle. For any Cotton knit containing red yarn, we recommend Woolite Dark as red inks are notorious for color transference and this gentle soap helps minimize that.
The exception is our Eloise, Sophie and Sally Hats. These should be spot cleaned only.
How do I store my new item?
Sweaters should be kept folded, never hung. As with all knits, hanging will cause the item to grow and will often result in stretch marks where the hanger sits at the shoulders.

Does Wooden Ships ever go on SALE ?
We don't have sales throughout the year because we don't create stock. Each item you order is made just for you. We make it once and we price it competitively from the start. This cut-to-order practice is part of our company philosophy of creating as little waste as possible. Yay for less STUFF being wasted!
Twice a year we run a short Semi-Annual Sale. These sales last 3-5 days and are run at the end of the Winter and Summer Seasons.
All sale items are final sale and non-returnable. No additional discounts can be applied to Sale items.
Sale items are discounted as follows:
Styles that are returned throughout the season because a customer has changed their mind are sold at 50% off. These styles are in new condition.
Samples from our wholesale collection are sold at 70% off. These styles are gently worn.
Discounted prices are final. Welcome Discounts and other discounts apply only to full priced goods.
What if I am not satisfied with my item?
We happily take back any returns if you are not 100% satisfied with the item. All returns must be made within 14 days of receiving the sweater and must be in the original condition with all tags.
Please don't order items in multiple sizes with the idea of returning what does not fit. Each item is made JUST FOR YOU when you place your order. We care about the environment, just like you, so we do not carry any excess stock. Just email us at email@example.com and we can help you determine your right size.
What if I need to exchange something for a different size or color?
If you would like to exchange something for a different size or color, please return the original item(s) within the 14 days for a full refund and place a new order. Please do not order multiple items if you are unsure about your size as we do not carry stock and will be producing each item specifically for you. Simply email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with any sizing related questions! We will be happy to help you determine your correct size or guide you to styles you might like.
What does it mean when you say pieces are knit just for me?
We don't make any inventory. We "make-to-order", producing each piece only as we get an order for it. This does not mean pieces are "custom-made" (we don't customize fit), but it does mean that we greatly reduce the waste that most fashion manufactures create when they produce mass quantities that later need to be liquidated.
